Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia.
Right after I posted my “Excitement List” I decided to start crossing lines out as soon as possible. A week Later point line number 10. Learn how to ride a motorcycle
is officially and successfully completed.

I bought a real Motorcycle and in a couple of days was comfortable enough to take it to busy streets of Bali. If you know how to drive a car with standard transmission, you know how to ride a motorcycle. You just have to develop some muscle memory of your left foot for gears, left hand for clutch and right foot for rear break. That’s pretty much it. Some thing that I learned while looking for a bike and after I got it. Motorcycles are MUCH safer than scooters. Bali streets expose new holes on daily basis and while you are on scooter, one of those potholes can easily throw you in the ditch, motorcycle just runs over it. Motocycles stop faster than scooters. They handle wet road much better. They are much better for long hauls. One of my journeys of 30 kms on scooter absolutely drained me, however on my Motorcycle it was a complete joy all around. No muscle pain, no shaky hands. Motorcycles look cool. Scooters not. So now I will get some protective Gear and start my Bali tour sometimes in May. Stay tuned…
Egoistically yours,
VP
